ABOUT BLUE VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL

 

The baseball teams have been under the leadership and direction of Head Coach Tim Kennedy since 2023.  Coach Kennedy spent the prior 10 years as the Varsity Assistant at Blue Valley, helping the Tigers win 4 state championships. Blue Valley High School has the privilege of having four teams, giving baseball players many opportunities to play America's pastime. Although unlike other sports that do not have tryouts, young men with the grades, skills and competitive desire are chosen to carry on the great tradition that has become Tiger Baseball.

Blue Valley High School Tiger Baseball has been one of the top high school baseball programs not only in the state of Kansas but in the midwestern US as well. The program is comprised of four teams totaling approximately 60 players. The Varsity teams have won the following championships:

ABOUT BLUE VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL

 

Blue Valley High School is one of five high schools in the Blue Valley Unified School District. It holds the distinction of being the first high school in the district. The Blue Valley School system is recognized nationally as having a robust academic curriculum whereby students can excel and achieve their dreams. "Education beyond expectations" is the aptly named motto of the district.

 

Being a student athlete is demanding. Playing a game as tough as baseball where failure is more prevalent than success is equally demanding. With tightly scripted days including classes, practices, games and homework, a student athlete has very little down time during the season. In the off season, it's back to training and conditioning. The Blue Valley High School community is extremely fortunate to have motivated faculty, coaches and administrators who, through their passion for teaching and helping young people reach their dreams, ensure that no student athlete is left unequipped for future greatness.
