Coach Suhr is in his 16th season with the Tigers. This year, he is the Assistant Varsity head coach and pitcher's coach.  In 2012, Coach Suhr helped the the Tiger pitching staff to a school record and state best 2.06 ERA.  As an instructor, Coach Suhr teaches Computers at Blue Valley Middle School, where he also serves as the Head football coach and Head boys’ basketball coach.  Before coaching in Blue Valley, Kevin worked as an assistant baseball coach/pitching coach for Mason City High and the North Iowa Area Community College, where he lowered the MCHS ERA from 4.65 (02’) to 2.05 (03’) and help lead them to the first state playoff berth in 10 years.

 

Kevin Suhr played first base and pitched in college at Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, IA.  As a pitcher, Kevin never lost a varsity pitching start in high school or college!

 

Coach Suhr is married.  He and his wife Sarah have three children: Shelby, Lincoln, and Hudson.
